Interfaith Prayer Vigil at Cathedral International
Praying for families of those killed, the wounded and for unity in communities across the Unites States.
PERTH AMBOY, NJ – Everyone is invited to attend the Interfaith Prayer Vigil hosted by Cathedral International, 7:00pm, Wednesday, July 20, 2016. According to Bishop Donald Hilliard, Jr, Senior Pastor at Cathedral International, , “We are coming together in response to the tragic shootings, to uplift the community and to emphasize Dr. King’s philosophy:
“Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding a deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only love can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.”
A special presentation on shielding children from overexposure to tragedies in the media will be made.
The Vigil is free and open to the public. The press is invited to attend.
