Book Wars, by Brown Kids Read, aims to cultivate a love for reading, enhance critical thinking, and foster teamwork among readers. For ages 9-12, the program includes forming teams, reading and studying two middle-grade books and participating in a thrilling Jeopardy-style competition. Teens (13-18) will dive into book analysis, undergo debate preparation, and face off in a policy debate. This dynamic program not only hones essential academic skills for the Book Warriors, but also encourages collaboration and friendly competition, creating an enriching and enjoyable summer reading experience.
