History
In existence since 1998, Jennifer’s Joy In the City Day Care Center (JJITC) offers a balanced, creative, and fun loving curriculum in an atmosphere that promotes a playful world of fun and make believe from infants to Pre-K5.
Mission
Our Mission is to love, nurture and train our children in the way they should go, so when they grow old, they will not depart from it. Offer a balanced creative and fun-loving curriculum in a joyful atmosphere that promotes a playful world of fun, and make believe, a world of adventure, and exploration, a world of hope, dreams, desire, and purpose. Our students range in age from 3 months to 6 years of age.
Program Offerings
The JITC Center offers to children from infants to Pre-K 5 a mixture of the ABeka Curriculum and Creative Curriculum which:
- advocates the importance of literacy, morality, multi-cultural awareness, and social skills
- helps children develop a positive, outspoken Christian attitude, and successful learning strategies.
- views the family as an integral part of the success of our Center and as such, through the JOY Parents Organization, it includes parent training and preparedness as a key element toward the success of its mission.
A Certified Director encourages and provides personal development training hours for all staff members. Jennifer’s Joy in the City staff has their CDA licenses and each classroom teacher and assistant utilize the ABeka and Creative Curriculum. The staff advocates the importance of

Class trips and creative outdoor play, such as “At the Beach” and “Carnival Day” provides for fun learning environment for young minds. A world of adventure and exploration is reinforced with a world of hopes, dreams, desires, and purpose.
IBM PCs with the Knowledge Development software application is being used with children from ages 4 through 6 to grow their cognitive skills and expose them early to languages and technology. The Knowledge Development software allows for hands-on interactive learning for children utilizing colorful graphics and sound. Reading literacy and numeral knowledge is developed utilizing these tools.
